Who we are
We believe that teaching about various cultures and embracing the differences in others will help mold young children into loving adults. It’s why the name Little Passports was chosen, to help take children on a learning adventure around the world while being a part of their journey of growth. We also believe in “stages not ages” and treat each child as the individual they are on their journey with us. Play is a child's work; that is why we call ourselves a Playschool.
We are located at 228-A Caldwell Lane in Davidson NC.
Our Team
We are a family run and operated school. Our team is led by Amyanne Checca. She has been in the childcare field since 1992. Her passion is watching children develop at their own pace while guiding them to the next step. She is originally from Massachusetts and moved to NC in 2016. She has been a teacher, director, regional director, and trainer over the years. She is excited to bring her own special take on curriculum to the families of Lake Norman.
Classes
We offer programs for children 0-5. We have begun our 2025-2026 school year! We currently have a few openings and offer a rolling enrollment. Our hours of operation are 9am - 1pm. Enrollment options are Mon-Fri, Mon, Wed, and Fri, or Tue & Thur. The children are in small groups of 5-10 children. We have our Tiny Travelers (0-2), World Explorers (2-3)*, and Globetrotters (4-5). Children travel the world learning and exploring. They end the year with their own Little Passport.
*For Fall 2025 this groups will be divided into two groups. 18 months-2.6 years and 2.6-3.6 years

Little Passports Playschool has been an amazing opportunity for my children to learn and grow into the people they were meant to be. As a parent the pandemic is quite challenging and the Owner/ Director/ Lead Teacher Amyanne Checca and her team created an environment for my children to not only grow in school- but to truly thrive. My daughter is off to kindergarten immersion with knowledge of France, China, & Germany… complete with an actual mini passport she earned at the end of the year! My gratitude for the entire Little Passports Family is infinite as is the lifelong bonds my daughters and I have forged through this life changing school and experience (shout out to my LPP moms dinner group that keep me sane(?)mostly LOL). I will always stand tall with my decision to follow Amyanne from our old CLT/ Huntersville school to her very own, as several parents have, and look forward to more summer camps, exciting special events, and the many years to come with my youngest daughter as we continue our journey around the globe from our own little slice of Heaven.

Little Passports has been such a wonderful opportunity for my children! During the pandemic, the program offered a sense of normalcy in the safest possible way. The school is always very clean and the staff welcomes everyone with open arms. The owner, Amy, is a real life angel. She offers a structured, play based program that also allows the children to be exactly who they are, and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I could go on for hours about how much I love Amy and this fantastic school (more like a big family) she has created. My children wake up excited for school and come home with so much excitement, eager to tell me about their fun day. The summer camps are fantastic too! Fun themes every week and a great opportunity to offer young kids some socialization. I look forward to having my children be part of the LPP family for years to come.
